Christopher is a London-based visual artist specialising in the male nude in oil and watercolour.
Born in Wrexham, North Wales, Christopher has continually made art through life from teenage video game art to the active art groups of the London scene. Christopher obtained a degree in Mathematics and employs techniques from geometry and applied technology in his artmaking.
Exhibited in London and online among other queer talent, and published in books and zines, Christopher tackles projects which allow his vision of self-expression and therapy through art.
Self-taught via short courses, technique books and regular practise, Christopher focuses on sharing the progress of his artmaking to show that everyone can embrace image creation and the path away from embarrassment and towards celebration and catharsis.
Christopher sells his work online and in exhibitions and pop-ups.

Dec 2020 - presentCreating an exhibition from 3D Modelling software was rewarding in many ways, not least to get the oppotunity to imagine my paintings the size of walls. I have used this software-based approach ever since to plan scaling up of work and aspire to create monumental larger-than-life figures like Rubens in the Louvre or a great Apollo sculpture.

I cannot copy other artist’s work or violate any copyright and do not wish for that to happen to myself. When discussing a commission we may talk about making a painting “in the style of Monet” or an abstract in such-and-such a style, but I won’t plagiarise the work of other artists.

I’ve sold a lot of artwork through Artfinder but they take a 40% commission on artwork sales, plus fees on top of that. Selling direct through this website allows me to receive more of the money and so I can offer the artwork with more affordable prices. Also Artfinder are a little medieval in their censorship of artists and behind in the debate of art versus pornography.
